PESHAWAR: Mobile Food Testing Laboratories have been set up in 7 Divisional Headquarters of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The state-of-the-art labs will now be able to check the quality of food items in minutes in every city, street and neighborhood. Action will be taken against those who sell food.
According to sources, a state-of-the-art mobile laboratory has been set up in five districts of Peshawar division to provide quality food items to the people.
The quality of milk, meat, vegetable ghee, edible oil, spices and other food items will be tested in all the districts of Peshawar division through the mobile laboratory.
A special briefing in this regard was given to Commissioner Peshawar Division by the team of Halal Food Authority at Commissioner Office Peshawar.
The Commissioner Peshawar Division was informed that the quality of food items would be checked within ten minutes through the state-of-the-art lab and after the result on the spot, action would be taken against the sellers of substandard food items.
Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mehsud termed the checking of food items through mobile lab as a tremendous revolutionary development and started checking in all the five districts of Peshawar division on daily basis and took stern action against those selling substandard food items.
