PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) Parliamentary leader Sardar Hussain Babak on Sunday said that filing no-confidence motion main purpose is to prevent the Provincial Assembly from dissolving.
He said that the united opposition does not want to overthrow provincial government. “If the provincial government assures not to dissolve the assembly, then the movement can be withdrawn,” Babak said.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly will convene on April 11 and the meeting will be at one o’clock in the afternoon.
The meeting was adjourned till May 10. However, two days ago, the 42-member assembly of the opposition parties had handed over a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Mehmood Khan to the assembly secretary. The purpose of the resolution is to save the assembly from dissolution.
