PESHAWAR: Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Health Department has introduced a free supply of medicines and insulin to the poor and needy diabetics of the province.
According to KP Health Department documents If you are a diabetic and are entitled to Zakat, register at your district DHQ hospital today and get free medicine and insulin. You can avail this facility by submitting a copy of your National Identity Card, OPD slip (on which the prescribed medicine prescribed by the concerned doctor of the hospital) and affidavit (that you are entitled to Zakat) to the Insulin Center for registration.
This affidavit form is provided at the hospital’s insulin center. Remember that once registered, the patient does not need to be re-registered, however, at the time of re-acquisition of medicines and insulin, it is necessary to return the empty packets of medicines and the bottle of insulin (vial) already obtained.
