PESHAWAR: Opposition on Monday withdrawn its no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mahmood Khan.
Talking to media, Awami National Party parliamentary leader Sardar Hussain Babak said that the united opposition did not want to overthrow the provincial government but the purpose of submitting no-confidence motion was to save the provincial assembly from dissolution.
The opposition leader said that the provincial government had assured him that the assembly would not be dissolved.
The Assembly Secretariat has been approached to withdraw the no-confidence motion against the Chief Minister. The no-confidence motion will not be included in the agenda of the Assembly.
It should be noted that the assembly session was convened today to present a no-confidence motion.
