ISLAMABAD: On the call of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, the PTI staged a sit-in in front of the provincial offices of the Election Commission.
PTI workers, led by former PTI MPA Ali Nawaz Awan, are protesting at Nadra Chowk in Islamabad as the red zone has been sealed off in view of the protests.
A heavy contingent of police was deployed outside the Election Commission in Islamabad after the PTI announced the protest.
Police said that section 144 was enforced by the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad in the red zone. Political parties and citizens are urged not to protest in the red zone.
On the other hand, PTI workers in Peshawar are protesting in front of the provincial office of the Election Commission in which PTI workers have taken pictures of the Chief Election Commissioner and are chanting slogans against him.
PTI protests are also going on in front of the Election Commission Sindh office in Karachi in which members of Sindh Assembly and workers are participating and slogans are also being chanted by the participants against the Election Commission.
In Peshawar, PTI workers are protesting in front of the provincial office of the Election Commission in which PTI workers have taken pictures of the Chief Election Commissioner and are chanting slogans against him.
PTI workers say the current Chief Election Commissioner is biased and should be removed immediately.
